Truffula Flu Wiki

What do I have to fear? Death? We all go to hell, man.

Backstory[]

Used to be a successful rockstar before the Truffula Flu started to spread. When running the business became impossible he got on his own with his jeep and went into the wild; Swag stumbled upon him during a supply run, in which he found his abandoned jeep and set it on fire. Rocky loved it.

Personality[]

Seemingly enthusiastic and carefree, Rocky tries to take the whole zombie deal as optimistically as he can, getting the best out of the situation and having as much fun as possible at killing and crashing stuff. Willing to help and doing his best at cheering his companions, he's the life of party of the camp.

As the story goes on, and especially after the hospital arc, it becomes clear that Rocky is mostly in denial with this situation and a lot more scared than he shows. When constantly pushed for his opinion on Bitter's diminishing state, he only comments that the situation is 'fucked up,' and excessively tries his best not to think about what might become of him, or what he would do were he put in Entre's shoes of having to kill one of his friends. Swag purposefully putting the rockstar in danger for the sake of a thrill finally makes Rocky snap and admit he's not having fun anymore. These events lead him to lower his guard and cause him getting his first bite during a careless excursion, which ironically allows him to go back to a more determined and relaxed state of mind: now that he's infected things can't go much worse for him and he can focus on keeping the others safe and fight for all it's worth.

Appearance[]

In the first arc of the narrative, Rocky is shown to wear what appears to be a Green Party poison jacket, a skull bandana, blue goggles reminiscent of the traditional once-ler glasses (adorned with a star by the lenses) and an ACDC t-shirt. He wears blue jeans, as well as a red bandana tied around one of his legs. Rocky is also shown to wear green fingerless gloves and black combat boots that ride up to just under his knee.

After the camp leadership shifts away from Entre, Rocky undergoes a bit of a wardrobe change. While some aspects of his outfit remain the same, including the red bandana, skull bandana, goggles and the blue jeans, which are now shown to be further ripped, there are several notable differences. He now wears a black leather jacket with a red star emblem on the back, a Mötley Crüe t-shirt, and green gloves that cut off halfway down his hand. Finally, his black combat boots now cut off at just above his ankle. Overall, his complexion is also more sickly, due to his contraction of the truffula flu just before Entre's fall from leadership.

Relationships[]

Swag[]

Swag and Rockstar met when Swag was on a supply run and stumbled across Rockys abandoned jeep. He stole it, crashed it, lit it on fire, and Rocky thought it was awesome. It has been implied that prior to the Truffula Flu blogs being opened, the two were inseparable and ran the majority of supply runs on their own, except when more manpower was needed. On one occasion they took Beanpole and Oneler in order to make their scam work. Rocky is the first person that Swag picks for any type of mission, whether it be a supply run, leading zombies away from camp, or searching for particular items. He is also usually the only one to laugh at Swags jokes and antics when in a dire situation. They have a similar sense of humor and reckless style and both enjoy loud music, wrecking things, and rocking out. They also both enjoy bringing fun to the camp, as shown when they lit fireworks to brighten everyones spirits. Swag has stated that the camp was a boring place before Rocky joined.

He is quick to assume that Rocky will agree with his choices and actions before actually asking him. This created a problem in the hospital when Swag knowingly put Rocky in danger by forcing them to run into a small horde of infected. Rocky wasn't bitten but was extremely angry with Swag and confessed to him that this kind of thing wasn't fun anymore. Swag apologized for forgetting that Rocky wasn't as bulletproof as he was but things continued to be strained. More recently the two have made up and Swag noticed a more lighthearted attitude to his friend. He has stated multiple times that Rocky is one of his best friends and gets incredibly angry when asked what he would do if he somehow died. When Swag needed to work on walking on his new prosthetic, him and Rocky went out on a trip to kill zombies and have fun. Rocky made sure that Swag didn't fall on his foot and helped him get better at running and maneuvering with it. Swags only complaint was that Rocky slept too much on the trip. Rocky tried to comfort Swag after Prismas death but he shrugged him off to the point where Rocky stated he coudn't believe he had to beg him to have fun. Swag has been too busy with the RV to join him on any adventures, simply saying they'd have time later.

Rocky didn't have the heart to tell Swag about his infection at first, though Swag appeared to catch on at some point. When Rocky did decide to tell him, Swag stopped him, saying he already knew and didn't want to hear him say it. The exchange caused Swag an observable amount of stress, Rock's confession to terminal illness eventually causing Swag to snap and destroy parts of the RV.

Entre[]

Entre and Rocky did not speak much during the first stretch of the Camp Entre narrative. Mainly associating the rockstar with the wild antics he and Swag pulled, it was a while before Entre was able to become more familiar with him as an individual. The two first interacted when Entre found Rocky teaching Ted to smoke. Entre shared a story about his first time smoking a cigar, only for the sudden combustion of the lake to end the conversation prematurely. They spoke again later Rocky lent the entrepreneur a guitar, but their first real talk took place after the hospital run, in which Entre consoled Rocky after the latter had gotten into a fight with his good friend, Swag. After listening to Rocky's statements on the issue and offering him comfort, Entre admitted that he thought of Rocky as cool, and insisted that if he ever felt lost, the group would be here to support him. Entre then encouraged that Rocky try his best to take calm time to himself, a sentiment returned by Rocky, who encourages the entrepreneur to keep his head on his shoulders.

Enstarrights

Later, after Entre had trapped One-ler in a closet due to the cannibal's dangerous behavior, Rocky agreed to help Entre relocate One to a new location. During this attempted movement, however, One-ler snapped upon finding out he wasn't being freed, lunging forward to attack Entre. Rocky, however, was quick to intervene, taking the bite for Entre. Distressed greatly, Entre consoled with Rocky, stating that there was nothing he could do to stop the infection, but that he would be there for the rockstar should he ever need support. Rocky opened up about the fact that he had already been infected prior to the incident with One, stating that he has no problem taking bites for people in camp now that he's fated to die. When asked by Entre, Rocky states that he'd prefer if his infection was kept a secret, and Entre keeps this promise, disclosing his condition to no one. The two grew closer after this instance, Rocky being one of Entre's supporters after his termination from the camp leadership position. The both of them went on supply runs in a duo, finding guitars and having a jam session together.

After Entre seemed to come down with a mysterious cough, Rocky began minding his health, disallowing him from going on a run when his condition seemed unhealthy. They did, however, go on a different run despite their worsening conditions, only to be interrupted by Swag. In other instances, Rocky supported Entre after an argument with Swag, praising Entre for standing up to his partner after the latter had exhibited aggression towards Ted. Rocky was a source of comfort and inspiration for Entre, working to bring him back up and encourage him after his demotion. In the last stretch of the Camp Entre narrative, the two are last seen playing a song together, Entre making a great effort to cover for Rocky when he begins to forget the words to his own favorite song. Rocky later thanks him for this. By the end of the blog, the two seem to greatly appreciate and look out for one another.

Ted[]

Rocky acts as a kind of older brother for Ted, trying to do his best to cheer him up and keep him safe. He did various things to keeps his morale up, like playing songs and lighting up fireworks; the one time he tried to teach him to smoke they ended up setting the whole camp on fire. Ted completely trusts Rocky and feels safe around him.

Oneler[]

Rocky and One-ler appear to be on good terms. The two are often seen with Swag, especially in the early segments of the narrative. While Swag tended to lead the raids the group would have, Rocky and One-ler tended to tag along. Though they never really spoke extensively with one another, they were often shown riding together in the jeep. When asked, Rocky stated that he didn't know the other well, but that he could be considered a friend and that he was a 'cool dude.'

Later in the blogs, when Rocky chooses to assist Entre in relocating One-ler to another closet, the infected grows restless and attacks Entre. Rocky, however, intervened, consequently being bitten and infected by One-ler. Rocky seemed to hold no hard feelings for this incident, however, and One-ler seemed to express regret and guilt for essentially sentencing Rocky to death, albeit unintentionally. Rocky went to far as to jokingly encourage One-ler as a candidate for camp leader after Entre's demotion, rallying for him as the 'Chosen One.'
